Lumpp, Wilbur F. of East Williston, NY on February 12, 2015. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Forest Hills NY, Graduated from Newtown High school and NY University. He was an Eagle scout who was the bugler at summer camp, Drill sargent US Army air Corps (WWII) in Brownsville Texas, earning the American service medal, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal upon discharge. Lifelong member CBOA (College Basketball Officials Association), President of Fred Lumpp and Son, Inc (the family construction company founded by his father) for over 30 yrs, until he retired in 1993. He was a gentle and compassionate soul that everyone liked and admired. He always wore his heart on his sleeve. Beloved son of the late Fred and Lydia. Predeceased by his wife Rita A. and his siblings Doris Scannevin and Ray Lumpp. Loving father of James (Regina) and Jody (Matthew) Ferber. Adored grandfather of Jean (Garrett) Wyckoff, Eric, Krista, Matthew Ferber Jr. and Joseph Ferber. Cherished great grandfather of Bradley and Gregory Wyckoff. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Weigand Bros Funeral Home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, NY. Funeral service Monday 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery.
